From an AI sceptic to advocate!

My attitude to AI was very much that of contempt prior to investigation.

I was familiar with various “Chat bots” that I found frustrating, and if I was asking questions on a subject I was knowledgeable about, it was not difficult to find flaws in some of the answers generated.

When approached by  CareBrain to conduct market research for them, my scepticism had me questioning how on earth AI could be used in the care sector. But what became apparent to me is that although there are some poor examples of AI out there, there are also some truly excellent ones.

I soon learned that the ethics behind AI is key. It is only ever as good as what goes into it. So, if the ethics are key, then the people behind those ethics are of paramount importance.

Here I was with a group of people I had worked with for many years and trusted implicitly: experts within the care and IT industries with proven track records and a passion for their sector. They have lived the pressures we all face in our roles.  CareBrain has been rigorously tested to address the concerns I had about AI. The CareBrain team had no intention of rushing this product to market until it met their own high standards and ethics.

It creates for its customers a safe space or “walled garden”, where their own policies and procedures are safely held. Their information is not shared elsewhere which is so vital.

My scepticism turned to awe. Here was an easy-to-use AI app designed to transform the way we in the care sector work. It will save time, money and enhance the performance of the entire team. CareBrain reflects the high standards of the expert team behind it.

My belief in CareBrain and the future of AI as a powerful assistant to us, when ethically used, has now taken my life in a totally different direction. I am so proud to say that I am now downing my consultancy tools and joining this innovative company as Head of Client Acquisition. I look forward to meeting many of you on this exciting journey.
